Madonna confirms world tour

Madonna has apparently had enough of being a stay-at-home mum. And the pop icon will find out what it feels like for a girl to hit the road again after an eight-year hiatus when she embarks on an extensive international concert tour this summer.
Madonna's ''Drowned World Tour'' - taking the superstar throughout Europe and America - is billed as ''the most extravagant stage spectacle of her career''.
Following her current multiplatinum CD Music, featuring her latest single What It Feels Like For A Girl as well as the title track and Don't Tell Me, the tour is Madonna's first live concert excursion since 1993's ''The Girlie Show''. It will also include hits from her previous smash CD Ray Of Light, plus many of the signature songs from her career. Meanwhile, if Madonna still has any secrets after Truth Or Dare and Sex, biographer Andrew Morton aims to bring them to light in an upcoming unauthorised biography of the pop singer. And even though she has forbidden friends and associates from talking to Morton, a source close to the biographer says he's getting more dirt than he needs.
MSNBC's Jeannette Walls reports Morton has been canvassing the Queens neighbourhood where Madonna first lived in New York, and a source said Morton is ''absolutely stunned'' by the number of people eager to talk about her. ''His only concern is that he's going to have too much to include.''
