SAR staff leave loyalty at the door

Hong Kong workers are among the most disenchanted in Asia , with loyalty strongest in South Korea and Taiwan, a regional survey has found.
A third of Hong Kong workers "
feel no obligation to stay with their current employers - the highest figure among nine Asian markets surveyed".
The study on employee attitudes was carried out by Hong Kong-based research group Asia Market Intelligence.
It said 26 per cent of
SAR employees lacked "strong personal attachment to their companies ", and a third "are unlikely to recommend their companies as good places to work".
"The most loyal workforce can be found in Korea and Taiwan, while Malaysia and Indonesia are vying with Hong Kong for the title of most disenchanted workforce," said the report.
The group conducted research for the Asian Employee Relationship Report in March, interviewing 1,679 workers from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
