IT lessons on the way

Information technology is to be made a compulsory subject in senior secondary schools across the mainland and in all junior secondary schools in major cities starting from the next academic year.
By 2005, all junior secondary and primary schools in more developed areas will be required to offer IT courses, according to the China Daily.
Of the 200 million primary and secondary students in China, less than 30 million access to IT education due to a lack of equipment and specialised teachers.
